What it means to be a Chapter-at-Large Member:
Sweet Adelines International writes:
Chapter-at-Large membership is intended to provide membership affiliation with a region or area and the international organization for nonmembers or members of Sweet Adelines International in good standing who are no longer able or no longer choose to affiliate with a local chapter.
A Chapter-at-Large member retains all privileges of membership except performing or competing with a chartered chorus in the regional competition of the region in which she holds Chapter-at-Large membership; and forming or performing as a Chapter-at-Large chorus or unregistered quartet representing itself as a quartet of Sweet Adelines International.
A Chapter-at-Large member may affiliate with another chartered chorus in another region and is eligible to compete with the chartered chorus in regional or international competitions.

Region 24 CAL
· Chapter-at-large members of Region 24 can perform and compete in a quartet at regional or international competition, participate in regional and international educational opportunities, and enjoy all regional and international membership privileges.
· If a CAL member finds that she desires to join a chorus, she is eligible to transfer her membership without paying an additional per capita fee in the same fiscal year. Upon transfer, chapter-at-large membership automatically terminates.
Region 24 CAL Dues:
· During their annual anniversary month, CAL members must pay Sweet Adelines International (SAI) dues to SAI -- AND -- Region 24 dues to Region 24, in order to remain a member in good standing.
· Region 24 CAL dues are $80/year, and payable during the annual anniversary month. Part of each year’s Region 24 dues covers the CAL member’s Competition Assessment, previously known as All-Event Tickets.
· If you are CAL, then you should receive (near your SAI anniversary date) a letter with a bill for your dues from Region 24's Finance Coordinator, Diana Dahl. If you have any questions, you can click HERE to send Diana an email. Her mailing address is:

CAL in Good Standing:
· If you are a CAL member in good standing with SAI AND Region 24, you can attend our regional competition and compete in a quartet, should you so choose. Needless to say, if you were not a member in good standing and did compete, your competition performance would be forfeited. No one wants that to happen.
