Regional Election Process

Serving on the Regional Management Team and helping with the numerous regional committees is a privilege and an honor. Sometimes - with so much to be accomplished on the chorus level - it might seem strange to consider working on regional committees or running for a regional position. Please check out the job descriptions and think about how you can contribute by becoming a part of the regional management team.

There are eight people on the Regional Management Team. Each year, four positions are elected or appointed. Incumbent team members must reapply, if they want to continue on the team. Team members can serve a maximum of three consecutive two-year terms (6 years). Elections are held during the fall prior to filling the positions starting May 1st . Nominations and applications can be submitted throughout the year.

2007 Rose Achievement Award Recipient

Judy Galloway
This year’s Rose Achievement Award was presented to Judy Galloway, an exemplary model of what it can mean to give your heart and energy to her barbershop passion. Both have been shared with her beloved sisters in Hood River Chorus and Northwest Harmony. Through years of sharing her energies with the entire region, we all have become part of her special family! Judy often completes projects for our region that we are not even aware of, however three of her projects have included documenting Region 24’s history for last years anniversary party, guiding the development of our Region 24 website like a “mother hen”, and recently being one of the founders of the Summit Project which fosters communication between the Evergreen District, Region 24, 26 and 13! Judy’s enthusiasm is contagious! Ken, Judy’s husband, shared that she doesn’t just join a group, Judy becomes an active part and it becomes a focus
in her life!
